EFTTEX winners’ stories now online
The winners of the 2011 EFTTEX Best New Product Awards have been sharing the secrets of their success on the new industry website from Angling International, the sponsor of the Awards.
Shimano has been celebrating yet another victory in the Best New Fixed Spool Reel category. It attributes the success of its latest launch, the Shimano Aero Technium Msg, to the talents of its R&D team.
Meanwhile, Zebco says investment in its own reel factory is the reason behind its win in the Best New Multiplier Reel category for the Fin-Nor Marquesa. And Ralf Vosseler, the man behind the winning fly reel, the Vosseler Tryst, has shared his delight in proving the quality of European engineering. “We are very happy with the award,” says Vosseler. “It demonstrates further the difference in quality of European-made products.”
The makers of the winning lures have also been sharing their delight. At EFTTEX there were wins for the Strike Pro Twin Minnow in the Best New Hard Lure category, Savage Gear’s Soft 4Play 25cm in the Best New Soft Lure category and Hart’s Metal Vib in the Best New Metal Lure category.
For the first time, details of all the products entered into the EFTTEX Best New Product Awards were presented online on the new Angling International website, allowing visitors to read previews and view images 24 hours before the doors to the show opened.
Rob Carter, Editorial Director of Angling International, said: “The EFTTEX New Product Awards are growing in importance every year. Companies are spending a great deal of time and effort preparing their entries.
“As the sponsor of the Awards, we want to reward that effort by bringing news of these innovations to as wide an audience as possible. Our new website is the perfect way to do this.”
